Exactly when you press “play”, you’ll discover that Indonesia’s Strange Fruit are not of this world. Their new EP Drips is an audible journey through time and space, from the trippy opener “Pouvour Moteur” and the dark disco “Iridescent” to the title track’s shoegaze romp. The five bonus remix tracks are an added treat, with the Tom Furse remix of “Monopolar” going heavy on the bass. Ready to extend to other galaxies, Strange Fruit has poured in a Shameless Tuesdays playlist that’ll quench anyone’s thirst for new sounds.

Here’s what Strange Fruit have to say about this week’s playlist:

This playlist was pulled together by the members of Strange Fruit — selected and assembled in a single day. It’s a snapshot of what was in our ears while making “Drips”: tracks we lived with in the studio, songs we stumbled upon along the way, and others that stayed with us long after the sessions ended.

Some songs are beautiful and some are rough around the edges but all of them left a mark on the process. This is part of the map behind the record that is sonically inspired by the artists on this playlist.
