Hey hey, the gang’s all here! After a long and action-packed journey, the Union has all been reunited. And not a moment too soon, as the twenty-fifth volume of Undead Unluck puts the narrative into overdrive. But is it an overdrive built on excitement, or — in worst cases — one that’s forced upon a Shonen Jump editor telling an author to wrap it up? Good news: it’s the former.

First, the spotlight is placed on Tatiana. Her Untouchable has yet to manifest, and her life as a model appears to be coming to an end. It’s why Fuuko, with her knowledge of the past Tatiana, comes in, acts as her bodyguard, and gives the future Untouchable a catwalk for the ages. Considering that her past self spent most of her life in a literal bubble, one can say that this moment is well-deserved.

One thing that you can always count on is Fuuko bringing out the best in everyone. As they attempt to negate Tatiana’s power, every member gives it their all in heartwarming fashion. But it’s Fuuko’s words that keep Tatiana focused and calm, leading her to get the perfect photo courtesy of Chikara. Although it’s a moment that leads to her future in that metallic chamber, Tatiana is able to go out with a bang!

Alas, Undead Unluck gives us no time to celebrate. Ruin comes in to, well, it’s all in his name, after all! Chaos falls all over the Tokyo cityscape, as Fuuko attempts to buy some time before the big man makes his proper return. Once Andy appears though, we’re reminded of why he is a true badass in the Shonen Jump realm. Ruin’s fight with Andy shows why the first half of the manga’s namesake is a king amongst kings, with his 4+ billion-year knowledge of fighting, strategizing, and having all of his body parts sliced off coming into play.

Again, it’s a reunion that should take its time with how important the moment is. However, the Master Rules, who are two minutes shy of pissing themselves, pull out dirty tricks to hurry along the end of the world. Thankfully, with the Union now together, and even without Unjustice there, the gang has a plan to go all in on the battle. If there’s one thing Andy and Fuuko are good at, it’s taking on the odds like it’s a piece of cake.

Not only does Volume Twenty-Five of Undead Unluck grab the final member of the Union, but it also sets the story up for its endgame. Ragnarok is just around the corner, and even if they’re not fully ready to tackle it, Andy and Fuuko are willing to dive headfirst into the ultimate battle. The fate of Earth is now in their hands, and knowing how Undead Unluck operates, things are going to get wicked sick!
