It all begins with you in bed, in a house outside of a strange castle. Automatically, you assume it’s a dream, and as you walk out, that assumption turns far more true. Letters are scattered on your path, warning you of the dangers that lurk in the castle ahead. Inside the castle awaits something that wants to enslave you, keep you within the dream, and never allow you to open your eyes to the real world.

Lustful Dreamers is a top-down erotic horror comedy adventure. As the protagonist, it is your job to escape from this world where three succubi reside. Roam the corridors, solve puzzles, and attempt to flee from the grasp of the monsters that wish to take pleasure in your pleasure. Or, if that’s how your boat floats, succumb to the succubus and stay in their naughty world.

The game is very simple to figure out, as you either use the arrow keys or mouse to move around and interact. From my experience, the mouse was a lot more comfortable to use to get from one place to another. This is especially when you have to escape from a succubus that appears in your area, as the arrow keys can cause your character to move slower than the mouse controls. While there are items that you will need to collect to open doors, one never has to dig through an inventory to use them.

There’s not much to do when it comes to the gameplay. Simply move around, find items and doors, and occasionally run away from a sexy threat. In some cases, your flashlight will be necessary to roam dark areas, as well as interact with objects that will unblock certain parts of the mansion. It doesn’t take much strategy, but a keen eye may be required to figure out how to reach the next section of the mansion.

Regarding the parts that make this an Adults Only game, Lustful Dreamers surprisingly puts some good detail in the pixel-styled animation art. The way certain parts of the succubus bounce as they have their way with you is erotic and tantalizing. Perhaps it’s a good thing this game works with using just one hand on the mouse, as you’ll need that other hand free to “file your taxes” and “check your 401K”. It’s only a shame that each of the three main characters has only three animation options, as it would’ve been nice to see a bit more imagination placed into the eroticism.

Although the game lasts less than two hours, it does have multiple endings to go through. And once you do finish a play-through of the game, you are allowed to revisit your interactions with the succubi and other characters that you come across. However, trying to get that good ending will take a lot of time, as it requires the right actions and a keen eye to obtain.

PROS:

  • Great pixel art and animation
  • Some surprisingly good puzzle elements
  • Can be played one-handed with the mouse

CONS:

  • Very short
  • Getting the good ending very challenging

FINAL THOUGHTS:

Lustful Dreamers is a quickie, but it surprisingly has a good amount to offer. Cute characters, good visuals, and even a decent amount of puzzle-solving mechanics make it an erotic game that’s worth checking out. If succubi are on your list of favorite monster girls, then Lustful Dreamers will certainly gift you with some imagery that’ll help make your next rest a much more pleasant one.
